The AFWN team provides a platform for designers who want exposure but do not have great finances to do international shows. The AFWN staff have seen many young people in Nigeria lifting themselves out of adverse situations and building sustainable livelihoods through fashion. Our main focus is on using fashion as an instrument of sustainability and social change. The AFWN team believes that for creativity to grow, there needs to be a platform that promotes and supports its growth. Africa Fashion Week Nigeria is a social enterprise that helps promote Nigerian brands through worldwide visibility, distribution, and manufacturing. The AFWN team focuses on empowerment, creating jobs, and supporting education and skills training in fashion.
